Our current main project, called Community Connectors, will connect community groups and local causes to each other, enabling the sharing of resources to improve efficiency and widen their reach while bringing the community together. Working in local communities, Community Connectors will also signpost service users to relevant groups and spaces in the community and be the go-to person for community matters. From our extensive experience working as community managers, we know that communities benefit greatly from this type of work and that local groups find it hugely useful as it allows them to be more impactful; with better use of maximising resources and minimising duplication of activity.
We are currently applying for funding for a pilot project to run in Surrey. From this we plan to spread the network of Community Connectors across the UK.
As a new CIC we are currently working to get the Community Cooperation name out there. We will be attending various public events in 2025 from large events like fairs and festivals to smaller community meetings and get-togethers. We are always on the lookout for more opportunities to engage with local communities. If you're holding a community event that you think would be a good fit for us in London or the Southeast please get in touch.
